Led by your guide, you’ll ascend through a magical pine and birch forest. As you climb higher, the landscape gradually shifts into a blend of heathland and scattered birch trees, revealing the mountain’s grandeur. The trail winds past Skjørbu Mountain, offering an optional bonus peak for those with extra energy and time. Further along, you’ll pass tranquil lakes and, with a bit of luck, encounter the local sheep—adding an authentic touch to your Norwegian wilderness experience.

At key vantage points, you'll pause to soak in the breathtaking views and capture the scenery with your camera. As the trail steepens, the effort is well worth it—your reward is reaching Krossen Peak, standing proudly at 718 meters above sea level, offering awe-inspiring panoramas. But the journey doesn't end here. The adventure continues to the highest point of the day, Reinaknuten, soaring at 787 meters above sea level. Here, we take a well-earned break to savor the view while enjoying a snack and something to drink.

On the return journey, depending on time and conditions, we can either retrace our steps along the same trail or take a scenic detour down into the valley, following the shores of “Long Mountain Lake” for a picturesque route back home.
