These Terms & Conditions govern the relationship between You (“the customer” or “participant”) and Haaland Hiking ENK, operating as Stavanger Adventure (“we”, “us”, “our”), regarding participation in guided hikes, fjord tours and fishing experiences offered via www.stavangeradventure.com.
By booking or participating in any activity, You confirm that You have read, understood and accepted these Terms & Conditions. Norwegian law applies to this agreement.
1. Scope of Activities
These Terms & Conditions apply to all activities offered by Stavanger Adventure, including but not limited to:

Guided hiking tours
-
Private fjord adventures
-
Fishing and deep-water fishing experiences
2. Terms of Payment
Payment is due on the day of the tour before the activity begins, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
We accept card and cash payments.
We do not store or process payment details. All transactions occur directly at the time of the tour.
3. Alterations, Cancellations & Force Majeure
Alterations
The planned route, itinerary or activity may be altered before or during the tour due to safety considerations, weather, sea conditions, group ability, technical issues or other unforeseeable circumstances.
Once the tour has started (defined as meeting the guide and/or departure), any changes, early turnarounds or route adjustments are considered alterations, not cancellations, and do not entitle the participant to compensation.
Cancellations by Stavanger Adventure
We reserve the right to cancel an activity before departure in cases including, but not limited to:

Unsafe weather or sea conditions
-
Force majeure events
-
Technical issues
-
Safety concerns
-
Capacity or logistical limitations
If we cancel, You will be offered rescheduling where possible.
Force Majeure
Force majeure events include, but are not limited to: severe weather, natural hazards, accidents, illness, technical defects, government actions, road or harbour closures, or other events beyond our control. No compensation can be claimed in such cases.
4. Requirements for Participation
Guide Authority
Participants must follow the guide’s instructions at all times.
In case of emergency, the guide’s decisions are final and based on group safety.
Physical Fitness & Skills
Each activity has a stated difficulty level. It is Your responsibility to ensure You are physically fit and capable of participating.
If the guide determines that participation may pose a safety risk, we reserve the right to deny or end participation without refund.
Age Restrictions
Minimum age requirements are stated for each activity. Participants who do not meet the requirement may not be allowed to join.
Equipment & Preparation
Required equipment is specified on the website and/or in confirmation emails.
Arriving without necessary equipment may result in denied participation for safety reasons.
5. Alcohol, Drugs & Conduct
Participation under the influence of alcohol or drugs is not permitted.
Disruptive, unsafe or disrespectful behaviour may result in immediate removal from the activity without refund.
6. Risk & Liability
All outdoor and marine activities involve inherent risk. Risks may include, but are not limited to:

Uneven terrain, falling rocks, weather exposure (hiking)

Waves, motion, slippery surfaces, changing sea conditions (fjord & fishing)
-
Illness, injury or accidents involving participants or third parties
By participating, You acknowledge and accept all risks involved.
Participants are responsible for their own actions and decisions during the activity.
Stavanger Adventure is not responsible for lost, stolen or damaged personal belongings.
To the extent permitted by Norwegian law:

Stavanger Adventure’s total liability shall not exceed the amount paid for the activity

We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages
7. Insurance
Participants are strongly advised to have valid travel and medical insurance covering outdoor and marine activities.
Stavanger Adventure does not provide personal insurance and is not responsible for costs related to accidents, injuries or cancellations.
8. Medical Conditions
Participants must inform the guide before the activity of any medical conditions, injuries, allergies or limitations that may affect safety.
Failure to disclose relevant information may increase personal risk and limit liability on our part.
9. Photography & Media
Photos and videos may be taken during activities.
By participating, You grant Stavanger Adventure the right to use photos and videos for:

Website

Social media
-
Marketing and promotional material
If You do not wish to appear in promotional material, You must explicitly inform us before the activity starts.
10. Privacy & Data Protection
We collect personal information (name, email, phone number and relevant details) for booking, communication and safety purposes.
We do not sell or rent personal data.
Non-personal data may be used anonymously for statistics.
Personal data is stored only as long as required by operational or legal obligations.
You may request access, correction or deletion of Your data by contacting us.
11. Liability Waiver
Before participation, You may be required to sign a Liability Release / Waiver Form, acknowledging risks and releasing Stavanger Adventure from liability to the extent permitted by Norwegian law.
12. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by Norwegian law.
Any disputes shall be handled under Norwegian jurisdiction.
